Season of illness for our Amazons?

Season of illness for our Amazons?

While the President’s wife was responding to treatment after undergoing a major surgery for a ruptured appendix to remove the poisons in her intestine in Germany, the petroleum minister was rushed off to London for a condition which was described as “abnormal cell development” which is “potentially serious” and “assumed a dire dimension recently,” which necessitated the decision to admit her in the hospital.

It seems this is a season of failing health for our female government functionaries, who have been working tirelessly to chart a way for our country. But then the question arises, if they are truly dong the best for this country, why do they need foreign hospitals? Why does the leaders of this great country encourage Nigerians to patronise local goods and institutions, when they do just the opposite? Someone made this analysis, and the question at the end is one that one should really give a thought to: When Nigerians steal money, they keep it in Swiss Banks.

When they’re sick they go to India or Germany. When they want to invest they go to America. When they want to buy mansions they buy in London and Canada.

They go to Dubai for shopping, and Paris for holidays. When they want to repent-Israel or Saudi Arabia. But when they die, they all want to be buried in Nigeria. Is Nigeria a cemetery?
