I fell in love with my soul mate –Oyebolami Beatrice

The families of Fashakin and Abidogun on Saturday, August 18 celebrated the holy matrimony of their children, Aduragbemi Michael and Oyebolami Beatrice, in style. The wedding took place at Triumphant Baptist Church, Shasha-Akowonjo, Lagos. After the conjugal blessings, family members, friends and guests moved to Ronik Comprehensive College, Ejigbo the venue of the reception.

The groom decked a black suit which he paired with a lemon-green shirt and olive-green bow. The bride wore a sequined ivory off-shoulder satin gown, tiara and floral hair piece. She harmonised her bridal look with a lovely set of necklace and earrings.

Aduragbemi and Oyebolami met nine years ago when they were both Art students of the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH). They started off as friends on a platonic level. However, four years down the line the relationship blossomed into an intimate one. At this point, Oyebola who was already aware of the new chemistry evolving between them pretended about it, while earnestly waiting for Aduragbemi to be the man that he is by taking the bold step to profess his love also and propose to her. At last her prayers were answered and he eventually did.

Excited Oyebola said she fell in love with her soul mate, Aduragbemi, “because he is ever sacrificing, ready to listen and help, and he also advises singles to get married to their friends, someone they truly know.”

Speaking on the qualities he adores in Oyebolami, Aduragbemi revealed that, “she is kind, straight, simple, and transparent. Also she does not pretend or get angry for too long.” He is convinced he made the right choice and advises bachelors and spinsters thus: “Hope in God, pray and watch”.

The happiness of the couple knew no bounds as they danced dexterously to the admiration of everyone, amid mellifluous tunes rendered to them. Alumni members of the Arts and Design Students’ Association, YABATECH, were there to celebrate with two of their own.
