ONE OF NIGERIA’s top music acts, 2fcae Idibia and award-winning writer, Chimamanda Adichie are among nominees unveiled recently for the 2011 edition of ThisDay Awards. Both creative personalities were nominated for the ‘New Champions for an Enduring Culture’ category.
With several hit albums, captivating videos and collaborations with foreign artistes, 2face has no doubt proved his worth as a top artiste. Those who have read ‘Half of A Yellow Sun’ and other books that have made her popular fiction buffs, would agree that Chimamanda is a captivating writer.
However, both artistes will have jostle for the award with other equally creative people nominated for the same category – MTV Africa boss, Alex Okosi, Hollywood star, Chiwetel Ejiofor, HiTV boss, Toyin Subair and top designer, Deola Sagoe.
